This is a darling petite sofa from the 1950s. It has been reupholstered in a new, premium wool fabric that was made in the UK. The attractive tweed fabric consists of black and white threads accented with tiny flecks of yellow. At a distance, it looks like a stormy gray. The seat and back are tufted with buttons. It stands on solid hardwood legs.

This piece is very sturdy and in great vintage conditi...on. When it came into the shop, we stripped it all the way down to its frame, corrected any issues, and then reupholstered it in all new, premium materials. This is basically a new sofa with the design and great hardwood frame of the mid-century. Please take a look at all photos to get an idea of how wonderful this sofa is.

Free Local Pickup: Sweet Modern's brick and mortar shop is located in downtown Akron, OH near the Akron Art Museum. You or a shipper that you have personally arranged can pick up this piece there at no cost.
Free Northeast Ohio Delivery: We deliver for free to spots in Northeast Ohio (within about an hour's drive from Akron). Just select "local pickup" on checkout and send us a message with your contact info.
Hand Delivery Within ~750 mi. of Akron, OH: We take frequent weekend road trips throughout the Northeast, Midwest, and parts of the South. As long as you are willing to work with our trip schedule (typically a 2-5 weeks wait), then we can hand deliver this piece to you at a reasonable price ($129-$299). This is a good option because we can personally ensure that the piece arrives exactly as it is pictured. We offer hand delivery to AL, CT, DC, DE, GA, IA, IN, IL, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, WI, and VT.
When you select our own hand delivery, we can bring additional pieces at no additional delivery fee. We will only charge for the largest item. When you check out, send us a message before you pay, and we will update the shipping charge (or just select "local pickup" on the additional pieces).
Blanket Delivery to the Continental US: We have worked with a wonderful blanket delivery provider that delivers to the southeastern US from Florida to Texas and as far west as Oklahoma City. They typically come to Ohio for pick-ups every 6-8 weeks and will charge you $200 to $500.
Other Shipping Options: For all other locations and those that prefer another shipping method, we can help you through the process of finding a reputable delivery service. RETURN POLICY
We thoroughly photograph all pieces and do our best to show any condition issues in the photographs. We encourage you to review them carefully and ask for additional clarification or photos as needed. This is not a new item. All vintage pieces will have wear from use. If you are unhappy with an item, it can be returned at your cost for a refund of the purchase price as long as it is received back to our shop in its original condition. To prevent post-sale price negotiation, we do not provide partial refunds.
