A Ludlow type 1J error hammer BRITISH COLUMBIA / COAST SERVICE / PURSERS OFFICE / S/S PRINCE ALICE (Sept. 23, 1916 cancel) on a picture post card, sent via Vancouver (Sept. 25), to Bronxville, New York. This hammer – which should of course have read PRINCESS ALICE – is unlisted in Ludlow and was no doubt quickly replaced. The only example I have seen. SCROLL DOWN FOR ALL SCANS.
