Thank you for being here. I hope you are having a great day. Measures in the area of 2.5” x 4”. I am pretty sure this isa Civil War soldier, but please look to the pics to make sure you agree. Thebackstamp is for Mrs. James O’Donoghue’s Art Gallery, Frankfort, Kentucky. Thefront bottom edge tells us, Photographed by D. Rowland.The image is bright and washed out, especially his jacketthat blends in with the background. Poor definition and details to his jacket, shirt and that wh...ole area. Certainly not the best quality.To the right of his head, there’s a distracting 3/4"scratch. His face has three deep scratches that are most easily recognized witha light glare and/or the right angle – two of these scratches measureapproximately 1/8” and the third is 1/4". The concerning scratches can beseen in the sixth and seventh photos.The CDV is noticeably warped with waviness. Misshapen, shownin the ninth photo.The top edge has a line of roughness, kind of pinched and scuffed.There’s corner wear. The tips of the bottom corners are creased some. Evident darkeningand discoloration. The back is worn with superficial cardboard fibers of sortraised from the surface.Please look to the provided pics to best judge what you arebidding on.I have more antique photos from the same estate collectionlisted this week.
