Thank you for being here. I hope you are having a great day. Measures approximately 2-1/2” x 4-1/8”. There’s a signatureand/or identification on back that is illegible to me. I suppose it could be abackstamp, but probably not. The card is noticeably thicker than most CDVs.Condition is definitely a concern with this neat old photo.The photo is badly faded and washed out. It is difficult to make out much ofthe background, and his waist down is quite a blotchy blur as well. The CDV ...hasa truly evident amount of darkening and discoloration. Ugly spottiness, lots ofstaining. Soiled. Worn and dulled.There’s a major crease across the center that affects boththe front and back. The corners are rounded. Heavy edge wear. The bottom leftcorner of the image has a 3/8” area of superficial tearing. There’s a 1/2"thinner line of similar wear above it, and more superficial spots of loss goingtowards the top and across.The back is terribly discolored with some sort of oddreddish discoloration. The back has wax residue throughout the surface. Theback feels waxy to the touch, and there are glossy areas that can be seen witha light glare (shown in the eleventh photo). The wax and the red discolorationare both very odd issues. I’m not smart enough to know the cause or reason.It seems like an interesting photo to me, but it is clearlyin rough condition with many weird concerns, so I ask that you please help meout by closely reviewing the provided pics to best judge what you are biddingon.I have more antique photos from the same estate collectionlisted this week.
