This is a hard to find Brush Raggedy Ann cookie jar. Raggedy Ann was quite beloved in the 1950s and 60s and this jar is one of three versions Brush made. The wonderful thing about this version is the heart on her bodice. As all Raggedy Ann devotees know, the doll indeed had a heart shaped heart!
This jar is in excellent condition. It has no chips or hairlines. The only flaws are crazing (to be expected with some old pottery) and what appears to be either a factory flaw or originalda...mahe to her right hand which appears to have its edge missing despite being under glaze. I never noticed this until I started to take photos. I am a long time collector and always particularly sought the Brush jars. This is a hard to find example and one that has not been replicated.
