PAIR ANTIQUE MATCHING MANTLE VASESFOR AUCTION: a fantastic large pair of matching antique Victorian footed mantle vases, they are 15" tall, 6 1/2" wide, 5" deep and 9" w/handles (approx.). These beautiful hand painted vases have complementary matching scenes, even to the opposite shading of the panels. They both have blue birds, one has a man walking and the other has a women walking through a winter landscape, even the snow has a glitte...r effect on the ground, trees and foliage. The people painted on the vases appear to have Flemish (Dutch) clothing. The vases have an Oriental shape with the design of the footed base and the handles, possibly Chinese or Japanese export vases. Unfortunately, they are not signed or marked. They are in excellent used condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs, there is wear to the gold gilt accent all consistent with use and age. The pictures are part of the description.
