Antique Wool Navy Cadet Nursing Uniform Suit Jacket, Skirt and Panty Hose Set
A very old rare gray wool nursing Suit Jacket, Skirt and Panty Hose Set that dates back to the 1930 or 1940 era. The Navy Nursing Cadet Uniform was decommissioned from the Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale West Virginia.
The gray tailored purple lined suit coat has been dry cleaned and still has its dry cleaning tag attached to the neck of the collar. The epaulets have a centered red gr...oss grain ribbon that has faded over the years. There is an extra epaulet with this suit.Many US Navy Medical Uniform Buttons decorate this beautiful Cadet Nurse's Suit. The Navy Uniform Buttons are white silver finished steel buttons by the Waterbury Button Co. Conn. which indicates pre WWII manufacture. A Cadet Nurse oval patch adorns one of the sleeves. Several white silver over steel pins also adorn the suit coat.Shoulder Seam is 6 inches.Underarm Seam is 15.50 inches.Sleeve length measurement at the top of the shoulder to the sleeve hem is 24.50 inches.
The unlined A Line Zippered Wool Skirt is in nice condition also. It has a 32.50 inch waist.8 inch long zipper. Top of band measured above the zipper to hem is 30 inches.A gray button fastens above the zipper.
Along with this set is a pair of taupe panty hose that are knotted at the ankle area. We are not sure the age of the panty hose.
