For Auction.....From our family doll collectors we have for your consideration this vintage 15-Inch Madame Alexander Kelly doll. She is absolutely beautiful! She has a plastic body and a vinyl head and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, waist, and hips. Due to the disintegration of rubber bands, her arms detached as we were handling her; and her legs are very loose. Kelly's rooted strawberry blonde hair is in the original set...bangs, upswept from the sides, sho...ulder-length curls. The curls in back are flattened from positioning. Her clear blue sleep eyes function properly, and her brush lashes are intact. Her facial coloring is perfect. The metal of Kelly's earrings is discolored, and there is some faint green ear.

On her back...MME 19 C 59 ALEXANDER
We have not undressed this doll. She is wearing a lovely dress with round neck, portrait collar, lace cap sleeves, and knife-pleated skirt. The dress closes at the back bodice with three small snaps. Lace trims the collar and forms the sleeves, and a narrow lace trims the skirt. Attached to the waistline of the skirt, a pink and white taffeta ribbon sash ties in the back in a bow, and a small pink and white floral bouquet accents the waist. A lace-trimmed white taffeta underskirt is attached to the dress waist. A white net ruffle on the underneath side provides volume. Kelly has on pink taffeta panties with white lace at the legs. Waist and leg elastic has lost the elasticity.
The bow on Kelly's straw hat matches the ribbon at the waist of the dress. The bow is disintegrating, part of the hat brim in back is flattened from positioning, and the chin strap has lost elasticity.
Turquoise drop earrings (Stone is missing from the right earring.), the straw hat (Chin strap has lost elasticity.), and white knit socks and black "velvet" Mary Janes complete Kelly's ensemble.
The dress tag reads...Kelly* C MADAME ALEXANDER * U.S. PAT. OFF. N.Y. U.S.A.
Attached to Kelly's right wrist is an original retail tag which reads...Kelly Madame Alexander 11.88
