This is a RARE M. Hohner accordion that was sold at the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition(PPIE) that was held in San Francisco. M. Hohner was a well known accordion maker from Germany and his accordion won the highest award at the PPIE. This accordion is made of wood and it has steel reeds. Each corner has a metal plate that reads M. Hohner Accordeon Best Made. This accordion does play (I don’t know if it plays well) however it is missing one of the wood buttons for the re...eds (last pic). I can’t find another one of these that have sold or that is up for sale.
