José Roosevelt is a major neo-surrealist artist. He created the 22 major arcana of the Tarot for a group exhibition named "Le Tarot" that took place at  the Castle of Gruyères in Switzerland in 1993. This was issued with a booklet containing poems for each of the arcana by Marie-Claire Dewarrat.Fine line pen drawings in black ink. Card 10 has red inked areas, and this image is used on the  booklet and the box cover.Much sought after for the wonderful detailed artwork by a w...ell-known surrealist artist. Roosevelt here has found new ways of working the tarot images. There is a complex structure underlying his imagery. The complete set of original drawings is apparently held in the Château de Gruyères collection in Switzerland.22 cards Majors. 140 x 99 mm  (5.5 x 3.9 inches).Despatched by tracked and signed postage.
