This magnificent antique Chinese porcelain large vase is in the shape known as 'garlic head' shape. The vase is very finely painted in under-glaze blue and the superb glaze is evenly applied. The base has a good six character Yongzheng (1723-1735) character mark in under-glaze blue, possibly of the period.
The decoration includes fine peaches, flowers, pomegranates, waves around the base, lotus flowers and good Greek key fret borders.
The condition is perfect apart from a tiny ol...d frit on the inside of the neck. There are no cracks, hairlines, chips or restoration.
The height is 31cm, the width is 15cm, the opening at the top is 4cm and the diameter of the base is 9.5cm.
