DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is this vintage portable Hermes Baby typewriter made in Switzerland with its cover & it still works! It still has a ribbon inside so as you can see in one of the photos it was able to type/print on paper. It is also marked on the back 'By paillard s.a. Yverdon. The serial # is 5508547 but we could not determine fo...r sure if it dates it to 1945 or 1955. Read below for more details.
MEASUREMENTS: total measurements with the cover on are 11 1/4" X 11 1/4" X 2 3/4". Weight is just under 8 lbs.
CONDITION: Preowned used vintage NH estate item. The cover and bottom show typical wear from use. No cracks, no brakes, no dents. The inside is quite nice! The ribbon was in it when we found it. Everything seems to function fine. It has a bit of an odor, but typical for its age and being stored for years. Feel free to request and additional photos before bidding or buying.
