The Sunface is said to be one of the more powerful kachinas because he represents the sun, the greatest of all the stars.
This particular Sunface is depicted holding feathers and a carved rattle. His costume is beautifully detailed with black and tan leather fringes. His head dress is made from real fur, he also has fur on his ankles and wrists.
The bottom of the piece is signed by J. T whom we believe... to be a Navajo artist.
