For sale is a magnificent little jug that hails from 1850’s brewer A B Wheeler and Co. This company was active in Boston during the mid to late 1800’s. The capacity on this jug is quart sized. I have photographed it next to a standard stoneware beer bottle pint and a quart to show its size in relation. The jug is shorter but wider and does hold one quart.
The jug is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, repairs, or case wear. The most unique feature is the large salt drip on... the front right side that occurred in the making. This drip and the size is a great combo combo that help to make this already rare jug all the more special. Please feel free to email any questions! Thanks.
