This came to me by way of a 'job lot' purchase and I therefore have no known history about it. It is however a very substantial looking what is I am informed as a petite sonnerie striking and quarter repeating. It has an alarm dial to the front as pictures. In the rear of the clock I can see 2 gongs and 3 hammers, I believe one hammer is for the alarm function , the other two hammers I believe strike the hours first followed by the quarters. I am happy to update the description wi...th any information viewers may have as to the clocks functions but from what little research I have done this seems a fair description. There is a repeat button to the top. The clock does not have a key and is untested. It weighs in at over 2kgs. There is little else I can describe about the clock but even with my limited knowledge I can see what is I believe called a 'click' part missing from the strike winder, please enlarge the pictures to examine. This can only be sold as spares or repairs as it is not inspected or examined for function and has not been tested as parts are clearly missing. I can see that similar clocks demand high prices but as this is for spares or repairs or perhaps parts only I understand perfectly that the clock will need professional attention and then no doubt these high prices may be realised. I have I believe placed this at a price which hopefully will be attractive to someone who can either carry out any repairs themselves or have them done by someone else and in doing so that person will end up with a smashing looking clock.
