Corona's folding No.3 model was the first truly successful portable typewriter produced with a frontstrike typebar arrangement. It opened up a whole new market for typewriter manufactures.
This is a RARE VERSION with the lightweight, L-shaped folding arms. These were produced briefly for just a few months from the latter part of 1919 to the middle of 1920. The company then returned to the thicker, solid one...s.
The example listed here is cosmetically excellent. Excellent paint, great decals and lovely keyboard. The exposed metal components need to be polished. Functionally, unfortunately, the mainspring is disconnected and it does not hold its tension. An original case is included which is functional but quite worn. Serial number 278, 343. Good condition overall. Very Scarce version!
