A Fine antique vintage Swedish single bit socket axe head Säter Banco from Säter Bruk Axe foundry in Säter Sweden from the 1800´s / 1900´s . Located in dalarna county in southeast middle Sweden and started around late 1800´s . Axe head has been clean and sharpen . Total length 14.4 cm ( 5.67 in ) Blade width 7.5 cm ( 2.95 in) total wt. 987 grams or 2.18 lbs # . A handle will need to be installed in the head at that time it will be ready to use. The eye is ...length top 3.6 cm ( 1.42 in ) width top 1.7 cm ( 0, 67 in ) bottom eye 4.4 cm (1.73 in) by 2.8 cm ( 1.10 in ) depth 9.2 cm ( 3.62 in ) This axe head has been used and there is ware see the pictures has to the condition of the head . The marking on the axe head is wore the stamped BANCO SÄTER BRUK AB WITH SEDEN under has ware as to the age , but enough left to say this axe head is from Säter bruk and is of the type BANCO see pictures .
