This listing is for an Antique Victorian Black Cameo that is a pendant as well as a locket. The cameo is stone. Black cameos signify that a person is in mourning. Typically they would keep a picture of the person they lost in the pendant. Measurements are 2 1/4" long, 1 1/2" wide, and ~1/2" deep. The contiguous (no clasps) chain is about 24" and I think it's original because there are not clasps. Condition appears to be commensurate with age. Hinge functions very well and snaps s...hut firmly. An interesting and possibly extremely rare piece, as I was unable to find anything quite like it in the net.
