OFFERING a small ( 4 1/4” x 5 1/4” ) tray depicting four colorful hot air balloons of varying sizes , three of which are carrying passengers . I have seen far fewer colorful FORNASETTI pieces ..most are black & white or... black , white & gold . I believe the tray may have been intended as a spoon rest but have no access to research material to verify my guess . In any case , if anyone is familiar with this piece please advise . It has the FORNASETTI logo on the back as shown as well as 2 gold initials , probably the mark of the craftsman who applied some or all of the decoration . It is heavy porcelain. SIZE - 4 1/4” x 5 1/4”
