Here For Auction is a Beautiful Victorian Antique, Chester Hallmarked Silver Open Face Fusee Pocket Watch.This lovely Chester Hallmarked 'L' = 1894 .925 silver pocket watch, is in good condition considering it's age, no bad dents or scratches just some shallow dimples, some fairly heavy pocket wear, the hinges are good having a little wear but both back and front open and close ok though the flip spring is missing but the front still opens with the button.The glass is very good no chip...s, scratches or stains. The lovely porcelain dial Signed - 1373 is very good with no chips or stains and no visible hairlines, It has black spear and whip hands, black Roman numerals with outer minute track and a sub seconds dial at 6- o'clock, The watch measures 56 mm across x 24 mm thick.The Makers Mark is - W.H. for - William Hammon. Case maker and silversmith of - Hill Street, Coventry. Registered - 1882.
It has a full plate 8 jewel key wind and set fusee movement No, 1373 with English lever escapement is running very well and keeping reasonable good time.Please Note- As this watch is over 100 years old there is no guarantee on timekeeping.
