Here For Auction is a Beautiful Antique Victorian, English London Hallmarked Silver Chain Driven Fusee Pocket Watch By - G.J.A. CORRALL. Congleton. Dated 1875. Comes With it's Key and a Nice Box.
This lovely English silver pocket watch No. 40327 has a London Hallmark "U" (1875) 0.925 silver, The case is in very good condition, with no bad dings or scratches (one or two very tiny general pocket wear marks on the ...back panel that could be pollished out), The hinges and catches are good so the covers open and close nicely. It has a new BCL 'Plexi' glass fitted. The lovely porcelain dial is very good with no chips, stains, or visible hairlines. It has golden Flur de Lys hands and black Roman numerals with outer minute track and a sub seconds dial at 6 o'clock, The watch measures 53 mm across x 22 mm deep.
The Makers Mark is-- I.H. for -- John Harris. Watch Case Manufacturer and silversmith. of -- York Street, Coventry. Registered 1874. It has an English full plate 7 jewel chain driven fusee movement No. 40372, Signed - G.J.A. Corral. Congleton. with English lever escapement, it is running very well and keeping good time.
