The clock features various embossed decorations and has a lady figure which has beautiful detail. This is a absolutely beautiful antique French classic mantel clock which has a gilt metal case which is in excellent condition for age and has all its original gilt ormolu finish. The clock has a 3 inch diameter enamel porcelain dial which is in good conditon but does have a small hairline near the numeral 2, the dial has roman numerals and has its original moon hands, the dial is open faced
Movement
The movement is a French 8 day bell striking movement is in full working order keeping time and striking as it should, comes with its french pendulum and comes with a winding key, the movement dates to circa 1860 and is signed by the maker Japy Freres
