This is an absolutely fabulous antique French race horse figure mantel clock with a 8 day bell striking movement and a stunning display design, the silvered race horse figures are the main feature of the clock and gives a fantastic display look all by the very well respected maker Japy Freres Paris The case features a fantastic design with various embossed and pierced decorations to the whole of the case all in great condition with elaborate scroll sides that are in excellent condition and display beautifully To the top of the clock you have the displays main feature of the 2 race horse figures with a stunning silvered finish with gilded highlights. They both have great detail to them and are all in excellent condition
The clock has all its original gilded finish which is in excellent condition and has a stunning display look, it has superb proportions which really stand out and make it a real talking point The clock sits onto its original ornate carved wooden base which has a gilded finish and displays the clock wonderfully THE DIAL The clock features a white enamel porcelain dial with roman numerals and original moon hands. The dial is in excellent condition for age with a open face and beautiful gilded bezel THE MOVEMENT The movement is also of high quality being an 8 day French bell striking movement which strikes the bell on the half and full hours counting the hours on the hour. The movement is in full working order keeping time and striking when it should as can be seen in the video above with its french pendulum and a new winding key The movement has the makers medal stamp of Japy Freres

All our clocks are tested for a minimum of 1 week before listing onto ebay and working condition is clearly stated above
No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this so please bear this in mind before bidding
If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
All repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase. If a mechanism is faulty after 6 months then i can offer a repair service for a discounted price but this cost will be met by the buyer if after 6 months of purchase
