Hamilton Model 22 Chronometer Movement Holder
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:12261960 | Country/Region of Manufacture: United States |
Offering a custom aluminum movement holder to aid in servicing the Hamilton 22 Chronometer. Movement shown is not included.
Nothing official, antique or Hamiltonian about this, as I make it.
Machined to hold the movement either way around. A thumbscrew holds it securely in Dial Up position. In this orientation it provides access to the hand setting security pusher, plus slots to access the three dial foot screws, with a register for the little p...olarity pip. Dial down, it just rests in the recess.
I made myself one years ago and have used it to service many movements, but I thought maybe others could use one too as I've not seen them sold. It's a big movement compared to most. Never seen the official Hamilton ones ever, but I can make as many as the community needs.
I make no attempt at any fancy finishing, just de-burring. These are a tool not a museum piece, and time (as you know) is money and you want this functional and cheap as possible !
Thanks for looking, please comment freely with suggestions for modifications or enhancements.
Oct 13th update - I have added at no extra charge, a means of supporting the Center Wheel when refitting the Cannon Pinion. Includes an allen key required for fine tuning the height of the nylon tipped screw.
I'll sell Internationally but check with me first for accurate pricing. $38.12 gets a small flate rate box to most countries, but it may vary to your particular country.
