This is a 19th century gentlemen's .800 silver (or coin silver) open face pocket watch manufactured by Thrussell & Son of Geneva, Switzerland. Key wind and key set. The watch does run, however, the arbour for setting the time is lacking having snapped off long ago. The time can be be set by manually moving hands but extreme care must be employed. The winding arbor is fine. Lastly, the original beveled crystal is detached but present.The movement is marked: Thrussell & S...on of Geneve.The inner case is marked: 55579 and 6925. While there are no silver hallmarks the case is crafted from either .800 or coin silver.The case is in good condition. At the widest point (not including the stem) it measures 1 5/8". The silver Roman numeral dial is tarnished but otherwise in fine condition. The original beveled crystal is present though detached, it is free of cracks. The watch does run, however, the arbour for setting the time is lacking having snapped off long ago. The time can be be set by manually moving hands but extreme care must be employed. The winding arbor is fine. A later key is provide. The original velvet box is present.
