This wooden mortar and pestle with brass nail studs is quite an attractive antique piece. This would make a lovely decorative piece or use it to crush herbs to medicines. This would also be a fabulous piece for a Pharmacist to display as well. This measures approximately 3.25" tall x 4" diameter with the pestle measuring approximately 6.25" long. There is a lovely ornate designed ornament on the top of the pestle. The only flaw I see really is the splitting of the wood on the pes...tle however, it looks as if it could have been done during the time it was made.
