Up for auction is a great antique Japanese Oni demon lacquer theater mask. This mask is part of a large estate collection being offered this week that include several fine antique masks.
I do not know a great deal amount the masks myself I believe they are all nice antique examples. The mask is a full size example that can actually be worn and used in theater. The mask is finely carved and detailed throughout.
The Mask is in good condition overall with some signs of use and age as seen. The Mask measures 10-1/2 inches tall by 10-3/4 inches wide and is approx 6 inches deep.
