Derrière le Miroir is a French art magazine cr...eated in 1946 and published until 1982. Art galleries, auction houses and booksellers often refer to this art magazine simply as D.L.M. or DLM. Aimé Maeght was the founder, editor and publisher. The magazine's most significant achievement was making the works of contemporary artists visible to the public, making an accessible and popular product outside of the cold receptacles of art galleries.The magazine covered only the artists exhibited by Maeght gallery either through personal or group exhibitions. DLM were printed to the edges with french text (essays and poems) on verso and unsigned as issued although, some of them were signed by the artists and others edited as Deluxe Editions with signatures on justification page.
