For auction here, is a Tin Plate Chad Valley Educational Globe. From the use of now defunct Country names such as Rhodesia and East Pakistan, and some of the National Flags such as Canada, it can be dated to the mid 1960s. Overall it is in very good, clean condition. It stands approximately 10 inches high with a circumference of 22 inches and diameter of 7 inches. There is a shallow surface dent of approximately the size of a 50 pence piece just off the Pacific coastline of Mexico - thi...s can only be seen in certain light. Also, there is a short (less than 1/4 inch) very narrow indentation just touching the Tropic of Cancer line about a third of the way between Mauritius and Western Australia and this is not easily visible. It comes with its original box which shows extensive "Wear and Tear". Some time ago it was "repaired" with celoptape. I have made no attempt to remove this, but it is so old that most of it will simply lift off and I leave it to the new owner to decide upon its removal. All this said the Box is certainly not falling apart and is still fit for purpose. The top lid flap is missing and one of the side flaps is packed loose in the box. Please see the twelve photos that have been posted.I aim to describe my items as accurately and honestly as possible and mostly post twelve photos.
