The clock features a classic architectural design which has a superb display look to it, the case has various engraved decorations which are gilded to make them stand out against the slate case, on either side there is a lion head bronze mount, the clock has a beautiful sheen to the case and a fantastic display lookThe Clock Measures - 8 inches high x 10 inches wide x 6.25 inches deepDialThe clock has a 3.5 inch diameter porcelain enamel which has roman numerals and its original moon hands, the dial is in great condition for age and is protected by the glazed brass bezelMovementThe movement is a high quality French 8 day bell striking movement with a anchor escapement which strikes on the half past and on the hours, the movement is in full working order keeping time with its french pendulum and comes with a winding key, the movement dates to around circa 1890 and is signed by the maker Samuel MartiCondition ReportThis clock is in excellent condition and in full working order, please have a good look over the many Pictures I have provided which can help with any further item description. This is a superb antique French classic slate mantel clock which has a black marble/slate case which is in excellent condition for age.
