This brass and black lacquered "Fram" microscope by "W. Watson & Sons, Ltd" has no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find.The microscope has retained all of its' original black japanned lacquering and the brass also has its' original lacquered finish, however, there are the usual light scuffs, marks and scratches that you expect from a well used item of this age.The makers details, model and serial number, "19934" are on the back of the microscope.The drawtube mechanism moves up... and down smoothly as does the fine focus wheel, the rotating objective turret works well. There are two objectives with one can, these are marked "Watson".The double sided mirror is free from any cracks or chips. The microscope comes with its' mahogany case.
