This is a beautiful piece of Scientific History, owned by Nobel Prize Winning Chemist.
This Retort Stand is signed and dated c1850 on the underneath by Robert Robinson. 
I believe this stand to be made from Mahogany.
It has beautiful patina looks like it was used up until yesterday.
Very very nice thing to have.
I believe this would look really nice as a lamp or holding a picture
