I have added pictures of the frog’s head with a different background so the digital camera will focus better on the colors and the clarity, the light spot on his right eyebrow is a little color skip, not a chip or a crack, it is glazed over, it happens in nearly all pottery that has little high spots like this. The damage that I point out is minuscule, I only point it out because I saw it when I closely examined it and I cant say it’s perfect as I almost did, but you really have to... have a loop to see it.

Still a rare wonderful piece with the 1889- to around 1922 mark, so not much of a rub for its age.I was asked if this piece had been repaired, it has not. It just took a ding sometime along the way. I bought it from an estate that had had it in the family for years, they weren’t antique mall, flea market, or antique show people.
