7 1/2" X 3" is this little blob top stone root beer. Unusual in that it's hand incised on the body of the bottle not the shoulders. Crudely and attractively done and fired over: "GEO. STANG / CELEGRATED / ROOT BEER / LOUISVILLE, KY." all easy to read. Starting at the third photo I began at the far left and each of the next photos I rotated the bottle so all the words can be read. Listed in Dave Graci's "American Stoneware Bottles" is "Geo Stang, Sandusky, Ohio". Looks like he did some ...work in his neighbouring State as well as Ohio........just now found a little info. on the internet. George Leo Stang was born in 1845 and died in Louisvile in 1918 a hutch soda is known from louisville and also a sided Geo. Stang stoneware beer from Louisville was featured in Worthpoint. This bottle is a hefty 1 1/2 Lbs and in great condition with no chips, just a few extremely light shoulder edge "rubs". Winner pays $10.00 for priority mailing and I cover for loss or damage on an immediate basis. Low opening bid as usual. Thanks for looking. On Aug-13-19 at 11:43:03 PDT, seller added the following information:"Celebrated" is spelled correctly as in the title......my mistake with the "G".
