A.V. Smith Devil Face Jug Southern Folk Art Primative Pottery........................…….........Estate Find!!
Here is a really nice find from a recent estate liquidation. All items are being sold to satisfy estate debts and are being sold as is and where is. I am not a Jug guy and all information is taken from tags that were stored with each jug. This is part of a 35 piece collection that includes: Marie Rogers, John Meaders. G.F. Cole, A.R. Cole, ML Owens, Steve Abee, Bobby... Ferguson, A.V. Smith, Jerry Brown and others. These willbe listed over the next Three months.
Up for auction is a A.V.Smith Devil Face Jug. The piece is approx. 7 inches tall as shown with ruler photo and is in as fired condition. Jug is well marked as shown and has an extremely nice and stunning candy apple red glaze. I have taken a dozen pictures to show markings and condition of the item which are parts of the description as well.
