This rare vintage Steuben Solid Crystal Peach Figurine is about3 inches high, measures about 3 inches at its widest point, and weighs about 1lb. 5 oz. It is “signed” with an “S” near the tip on the bottom of the fruit.The Peach is in pristine condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, or anyother signs of wear or visible flaws--except for a small and very very slightscratch on the bottom adjacent to the flat spot on which the Peach is designedto rest. Included are the orig...inal gray box imprinted with “Steuben”, the originaldust bag also imprinted with “Steuben”, an “About Steuben” Brochure, and a “HowTo Care For Steuben” pamphlet, all of which are in like new condition.
The Peach (#8600) is highlighted in Steuben’s 1997 annualcatalog (and perhaps others), and was designed by David Dowler in 1990. Thepeach is a symbol of the city of Atlanta (the home to the 1996 Olympic Games), and it is also emblematic of marriage. In China it is a harbinger of long life.
