The One Sheet prior to 1980 was almostalways found folded in eighths with one vertical fold and two horizontal folds, and after 1980 were sent to theatres rolled. The studios often printed a couple of different styles of posters forone film, one being what is known as an “Advance” poster issued before therelease of a film to entice potential audiences to a showing. Combined Postage Information: We will combine anyauction or fixed price posters to save you on postage. If you are buyingmultiple posters please let us know and then wait until we adjust the invoicebefore making payment. All posters are either rolled and shipped in a cylinder or folded intotheir original folds and carefully flat packed into a protective sleeve andlarge stiff mailing folder ($2.49 each) with backing board for extra protectionduring transit. For those concerned about shipping cost please note: The shipping pricingis out of my hands and Australia Post has recently increased their prices. Ionly charge $2 extra and that is because I pack the posters into a plasticsleeve and then into a stiff envelope ($2.49 each from Officeworks) withbacking card (not between a couple of pieces of crappy cardboard or rollingfolded posters as it affects the folds) so I am actually losing on postage. How Our Posters Are GradedAll images of the posters are of the actual poster for sale so what yousee is what you get, we do not use stock photos. Very Fine – Almost Mint: Unused with no flaws. Fine:  Used with the original folds and possible signs of minorageing like very light fold seam wear but no significant flaws. Very Good:  These have the usual folds, possibly some pinholes, possiblevery light blue tack stain spots, minor edge or fold wear, minor separation onfold seams, border edge splits or tears, and unobtrusive stains but no paperloss. Good: Has possible staining/water marks, pinholes, minor paper lifts, small tears (possibly taped on reverse) fold seam separation, minor paper loss, and possible blue tack stain spots, and splits and edge wear but still goodenough to frame. Fair: These posters will need some restoration and are usually only soldon this site if they are rare and hard to find. There will be a combination oftears, paper loss, staining, pinholes and blue tack stains but because of therarity of the poster, worth linen backing. About Australian Movie Posters:The hand litho process was usually utilized for Australian daybillposters resulting in a rich texture of artwork with subtle toning that wasoften unique to Australia.  The artists would generally use US poster art or press book images fortheir inspiration and they would either trace or use their own imagination or acombination of both to come up with a design for the poster. The sizes variedconsiderably from 13" x 30" from the 40s to the mid 60s to 13" x26" in the 80s. Certain firms seem to predominate during certain periods, such as W.E.Smith of Sydney during the 1940s and 1950s. Several other printers like F.Cunninghame & Co. Pty. Ltd. (litho) Sydney, Royelltone Prints Pty. Ltd., and Simmons Ltd. printed older posters but W.E. Smith and Robert Burtonproduced most. During the 70s M.A.P.S started producing movie posters and there is anoverlap where both Robert Burton and M.A.P.S printed some of the same originalposters. Other printers like Brown Prior Anderson in Burwood, Victoria, Australia, also printed some of the B grade and R rated Australian posters and, some of the film distributors like Roadshow produced their own posters. It is important to note that daybills for the original release of a filmoften included a lesser duotone and black and white style. In manycases these are mistakenly referred to as copies or later reissues but theywere generally released at the same time the full colour versions were issuedso are also originals. Parcel Post with Signature: We highly recommend you use thisoption as it also offers priority handling and tracking where available, and asignature on delivery.
