Mike is working as a park engineer andconsidering marriage to his girlfriend, killer whale biologist Kathryn Morgan.Sean is also involved with 1 of the park's water skiers, Kelly Ann Bukowski.Sea World is about to open a massive 'Undersea Kingdom' which will bringvisitors closer to marine life than ever before.  The park is accessible from the ocean by a series ofgates, one of which malfunctions. A young Great White Shark swims through thegate, and when a maintenance diver heads down to fix the gate he does notreturn. The young Great White is captured & placed in a tank but soon diesdespite Kathryn's best efforts to save it. More alarming though, is the youngshark's massive, 35 foot mother which has followed the baby shark into thelagoon and killed the maintenance diver... Australian One Sheet movie posters are 27” x 40” not 27” x 41” like theirAmerican counter parts and can vary an inch in length dependent on the printersused to produce them. Modern American posters are now also 27” x 40” but modernposters can also vary by ½” to 1” dependent on the printer used.  Australian printerswere under licence to produce the posters as they saw fit for Australianaudiences and many artists did different variations to the American one-sheets.The artists wouldgenerally use US poster art or press book images for their inspiration and theywould either trace or use their own imagination or a combination of both tocome up with a new design for the poster. Many vintageone-sheet posters were usually produced using the stone litho process whichproduced rich deep colours but were only printed in limited quantities. It isbelieved that as few as 200 one sheets were printed for films up to 1950. Thisexplains the rarity of the Australian one sheet movie posters.  The Australianone-sheet movie posters used to be issued folded but now most modern postersare issued rolled and many come directly from the distributors in America asthe American one-sheets are also now 27” 40” but can vary slightly in lengthsize dependent on the distributor and printer used. Many are now alsodouble-sided for use in light boxes. How OurPosters Are Graded: All images of the posters are of the actualposter for sale so what you see is what you get, we do not use stock photos. Very Fine – AlmostMint:Unused with no flaws. Fine:  Generally unused with the original folds orrolled. There may be some slight minor edge wear due to storage and, possiblesigns of minor ageing but no significant flaws. Very Good:  These have the usual folds or are rolledposters possibly with pinholes, very light blue tack stain spots, minor edge orfold wear, minor splits or tears, and unobtrusive stains but no paper loss.  Good: Haspossible staining, pinholes, minor paper lifts in corners, small tears(possibly taped on reverse) slight fold separations, minor paper loss, andpossible blue tack stain spots, and edge wear but still good enough to frame. Fair: Theseposters will need some restoration and are usually only sold on this site ifthey are very rare and hard to find. There will be a combination of tears, paper loss, staining, pinholes and blue tack stains but because of the rarityof the poster, worth linen backing. AboutAustralian Movie Posters:The hand litho process was usually utilized forAustralian daybill posters resulting in a rich texture of artwork with subtletoning that was often unique to Australia.  The artists would generally use US poster art or pressbook images for their inspiration and they would either trace or use their ownimagination or a combination of both to come up with a design for the poster. The daybill sizes varied considerably from 13" x 30" from the 40s tothe mid 60s to 13" x 26" in the 80s. The Australian one-sheets werenormally 27” x 40” as compared to the US 27” x 41” one-sheets. Certain firms seem to predominate during certain periods, such as W.E. Smith of Sydney during the 1940s and 1950s. Several other printerslike F. Cunninghame & Co. Pty. Ltd. (litho) Sydney, Royelltone Prints Pty.Ltd., and Simmons Ltd. printed older posters but W.E. Smith and Robert Burtonproduced most.  During the 70s M.A.P.S started producing movie postersand there is an overlap where both Robert Burton and M.A.P.S printed some ofthe same original posters. Other printers like Brown Prior Anderson in Burwood, Victoria, Australia, also printed some of the B grade and R rated Australianposters and, some of the film distributors like Roadshow produced their ownposters. It is important to note that daybills for the originalrelease of a film often included a lesser duotone and black and white style. Inmany cases these are mistakenly referred to as copies or later reissues butthey were generally released at the same time the full colour versions wereissued so are also originals.  CombinedPostage Information:Wewill combine any auction or fixed price posters to save you on postage.
