Just copy and paste the linkbelow to your browser and enjoy.OK, being offered for yourbidding consideration is this Antique Musical Cuckoo Clock with 3 different Melodies, very large Musical Movement which has been completely serviced to include combtooth dampers as well, also serviced was the clock movement to include somebushing work in the time train, all works perfectly fine and is ready to hangand enjoy. The musical movement has atrademark stamp in the comb to indicate a “Paillard” movement, a well-known andreputable Swiss Musical Movement manufacturer. The bellow tops have also beenrecovered with fresh leather as well and sound great. The zither player andcuckoo bird both retain all their original paint and look great, originalpendulum and weights, carved bone hands but, I suspect these were replaced atsome point and time. If you examine the rear door, some material was carved out of it to accommodate the size of the musicalmovement, I believe this is original and intended work carried out by themanufacturer, you will also notice they actually removed a portion of the rearplate to allow access for the transmission gear/wheel to mate up with the firstwheel in the musical train, again original “altered” application. These are just signs andindicators of hand made products of the period, probably had an excess oflarger movements that needed to be used to clear inventory, practicality wasthe name of the game during this period, mannerisms I can certainly respect, appreciate and admire now. None of these alterations adversely affect thefunctionality of this clock. Some repair work was done to the crownpediment, the case carvings are not perfect but, certainly acceptable fordisplay. This clock is very large measuring a whopping 28” Tall and a shocking24” wide across the pediment, 2 ft Wide and over 2 ft tall!!, it certainlymakes an impact when entering a room.
