This exceptionally attractive piece has a wonderfully sleek, clean-lined form with a stylishly curved pillow shaped body leading to a tall, slender neck and lovely wide-flared rim.
This exquisite piece has been hand crafted in a stunning blend of transparent rainbow colours, with radiant shades of vibrant pink, blue and green surrounding the form. The colours blend and reflect throughout the glass to create a magnificent range of tones.
The inspiration for this series originated in the designers love of music, the long neck of the vase reminiscent of organ pipes. The colours were inspired by shimmering rainbows of oil spilled on water. The name of the series was inspired by a beautiful transparent watercolour painting of a scene from the Fidji Islands.
This series was produced in a range of sizes, with this smaller sized piece being a somewhat rare example. Pieces of varying sizes make a wonderfully artistic grouped display feature.This beautifully designed piece has been expertly hand crafted and very well finished. A fine vintage example of quality Kosta Boda glass by one of the top Kosta artists!This exquisite Scandinavian art glass vase is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The glass retains a magnificent sparkle with no frosting or clouding. This piece is beautifully signed and numbered to the base with an engraved signature reading "Kosta Boda 48837 K Engman".
