Welcome to Antiques & Moore!This listing is for an attractive 19th Century Japanese Cloisonne enamel on bronze belt buckle set. This buckle dates from the Meiji Period (1868-1912). The design features daisy-type flowers and a large butterfly against a purple Ginbari (foil backed) background with a forest green border. This color combination is very complimentary to the fine details in the design. The back of both sections of the belt buckle have a heavy application of forest green ...enamel.Measures 2 1/8" high and 3 1/4" wide. Weighs 1.6 ounces. This nice belt buck is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There are some small no-harm pits in the enameled areas consistent with age and wear with thebuckle being smooth to the touch.  We are happy to ship Internationally, however, please be aware that we as sellers can not be responsible for any random Customs inspections or charges incurred with this purchase.
