This clock has a beautiful mahogany case which has a wonderful display look, it has a architectural top to the hood which has a glazed panel on either side and a hinged glazed door in full working order, on top of the clock there are 3 matching brass eagle top finials which i could not fit in but have shown them on when i took the hood off. The trunk door has its lock and key. A fantastic 18th century longcase clock which will look spectacular where ever it is displayedThe Clock Measures - 88.5 inches high (without finials) x 20.5 inches wide x 10.25 inches deepThe clock measures 92.5 inches high with the finials onDialThe clock has a fantastic 18.5 inches x 13 inches arched brass and silvered dial with engraved roman numerals on the silvered chapter ring. The centre has engraved decoration and is signed by the maker John Broome Castle Combe. In the arch you have the full 29.5 day lunar moon phase cycle feature and to the centre there is a aperture for the calendar dial. The dial is in excellent near mint conditionMovementThe clock has a high quality 18th cnetury 8 day single weight driven regulator movement with its dead beat escapement and maintaining power, the movement is very clean and is in full working order with a moon phase and calendar features which turn over with the movement. This is a 18th century antique English regulator longcase grandfather clock by John Broome of Castle Combe dating to circa 1760.
