Up for your consideration is an antique item made by Max Kohl. It appears to be some sort of electromagnetic apparatus but I don't know what it is. There are two coils and an iron handle that loosens to move them in a swivel motion. It's missing one of the knobs. The wood covering on the bottom of the coils is somewhat chipped. There is a brass plate on the top portion of the front side, and it reads "Max Kohl Werkstatten Fur Prazisionsmechanik Chemnitz I.S.". I believe the base is mad...e of oak. The dimensions of the base are 13 3/4 inches by 11 inches. It stands about 29 inches tall.
