Here's a scarce early pontiled Stoddard olive amber colored medicine bottle from the famous Boo Morcom Collection, who was widely recognized as one of the early experts on New England glass. It has the BOO MORCOM COLLECTION auction sticker on bottom which is dated 4-21-12 and numbered 01 or 10. This interesting medicine or utility bottle was hand blown in 3 piece mold....open pontil with dot in middle of sunken bottom.....crude applied double ring collar.....olive amber.....6 1/2..."tall x 2 7/8"round.....crude whittled glass.....Shiny nice but has a hard to see 1 1/4"crack in the bottom near edge; no other damage. A sparkling attic clean bottle. You cannot see the crack on display....you have to pick the bottle up to see it. I'm not sure if this unusual shaped bottle was blown at Stoddard or Keene, but I guarantee it is an early New England glasshouse blown bottle.
