You are bidding on a fantastic piece of Italian mid century design from one of the icons of the era, Piero Fornasetti.  This paperweight features Fornasetti’s iconic cylindrical shape in white porcelain.  It is decorated around the side with conversions from various units of measure and images of weights.  Around the top of the cylinder is the iconic saying “There is measure in all things.” The paperweight terminates at the top of with a gilt ci...rcular handle.  Measuring 4 inches in height, this 1950s era paperweight is one of Fornasetti’s iconic pieces of mid century pottery.  It is in excellent condition, save for the pictured wear to the gilt decoration at the handle.  The bottom of the piece is covered in green cloth.  As a result, the piece did not retain its original Fornasetti sticker but for a piece this well-known and iconic, it’s hard to deny that it is a genuine piece of vintage Fornasetti design.
