Here is a lovely covered cheese dish from Royal Worcester - complete with its drainer insert - the cover and base with colorful florals enhanced by gilt on a cream-color ground - the folded-over rim and summit of lid with leaf and berry motif, all topped by a 'pinecone' finial. Diameter is 7 1/8"; height to top of finial is 5 5/8". Two pieces with Royal Worcester marks and lower case 'a' (date code for 1890). Unforunately, there is a chip to footrim (see photo 8; can be turned to back).... Still stunning!
