1st Period C. 1765 Royal Worcester Floral Mansfield Teapot Rare Wigornia " W " Mark
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:16216 | Primary Material: Porcelain |
Maker: Royal Worcester |
This piece is amazing in every aspect. It carries the much less common, very early blue cursive "W" under glaze Worcester Wigornia mark. The piece is in excellent overall condition with only one minor inclusion. Look at p...ictures number two and three and enlarge. There is a small and tight hairline, glaze-side, crack in the lid which does not go through the piece (seen in picture two, but not on the reverse side in picture three). This issue is very difficult to notice when examining the piece. Other than this one slight issue and some expected wear, this teapot is one of the best you will find from this period. A very impressive example with bright colors and vibrant glaze.
