Antique Staffordshire Creamware Molded Silver Shape Plate c1770 ~ Whieldon Tortoise Shell Black, Brown, Blue, Green and Yellow Lead Glazes~ Large Antique Staffordshire Copper Lustre and Enamel Milk Pitcher mid 19th Century ~
~ Serpent Handle with Looping Tail ~ Lovely White and Blue Flower Painting ~
~*~8” tall ~ 6 1/2” from spout to handle
A large, elegant Staffordshire water or milk jug with a wavy molded rim and spout and a friendly serpent han...dle, even the footrim has a pleasing wavy shape.
Both sides are painted with a symmetrical bouquet of white flowers with blue leaves and tiny yellow hearts. The light scuffing to the lustre around the belly seem magnified in my photos against white; in your room on display these barely show and this copper lustre has a glowing lovely appearance.~ In excellent antique condition with expected wear and light scratches to the lustre. There is flaking to one white flower on one side otherwise all the enamels are intact and still very vibrant.
