Presented is a pair of Georgian, English porcelain shrimp dishes or bowls made during the early 19th century. These dishes are Old Derby and most likely made around the 1820s. Each dish is in a nice shell like form and they are both in the classical Imari pattern. Each dish is completely hand painted and hand gilt with flowers, leaves and lovely designs. The underside of each dish is marked with the Old Derby hallmark. The dish are in great condition, especially for their age. There is... some minor wear to the gilding along the rims but there are no cracks, no chips and no repairs. Each dish measures 9 1/2 by 9 3/4 inches and is 2 1/8 inches tall.
