Original Description:
Mid 19th century salt glazed stoneware beer or sarsaparilla bottle. It has a super clear impressed bottler mark on the shoulder J. A. WALLIS, which is filled with blue. The opposite side is impressed BANGOR and is also filled with blue slip. The glaze is a nice mellow grey and beige color. It is an extra fat beer with an early donut style lip. It has just two little base edge flakes, pictured. It is a nice early stoneware beer with light use wear. It stands 10" tall and is 3 3/4" in di...ameter. It is heavy. I recently purchased it at an estate auction. The pictures are accurate as to its condition. Please look at my other auctions.
